About the Author
Dr. Rita Schellenberg is nationally recognized for her outstanding achievements in education and school counseling. Dr. Schellenberg is professor and director of the school counseling program at Liberty University in Virginia. She received her training in school counseling from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Dr. Schellenberg was named Outstanding Graduate in her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision program, and in 2010 she was named one of the top 15 school counselors in the nation by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
Dr. Schellenberg is a licensed school counselor and a licensed professional counselor (LPC). She also holds the credentials of Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC). Dr. Schellenberg is certified by ASCA as a School Counseling Legal and Ethical Specialist.
Dr. Schellenberg has presented at many conferences on topics related to school counseling and has multiple journal publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Professional School Counseling. She engages in consulting for schools and performance consulting for agencies seeking to enhance the performance of children and adolescents. Awesome study guide!

I bought this book for one of my Liberty classes and thoroughly enjoyed the layout of the book and the wealth of information provided. I took my Praxis certification test for school counseling and used this book as my primary study aid. I passed the test with flying colors and I had just started my second term of school counseling classes! Many of my questions were similar to the situations that she presents throughout her book. Plus, having the ASCA standards and ethical guidelines in the book proved invaluable for my test. It has been a great reference for my other classes as well. This is definitely one book that I won't be throwing away!

Great study guide

This is an excellent study guide to help prepare you for the Praxis. This is a mini version of all the school counseling courses rolled up into one. The practice test in this book had very similar scenarios that were on the Praxis. I passed!

Awesome Study Guide

I purchased this book in January 2014 as my primary study book. I took my Praxis certification test for School Counseling on April 7, 2014 and I PASSED!!!! This is an excellent study guide and I would highly recommend anyone taking the Professional School Counselor Praxis to purchase this book.
