About the Author
Joe R. Feagin is Ella C. McFadden Professor at Texas A&M University. He has done research on racism and sexism issues for forty-six years and has served as the Scholar-in-Residence at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. He has written 58 scholarly books and nearly 200 scholarly articles in his research areas, and one of his books (Ghetto Revolts) was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. His recent books include Systemic Racism (Routledge 2006), The White Racial Frame (Routledge 2010), and Racist America (2nd edition, Routledge 2010). He is the 2006 recipient of a Harvard alumni association lifetime achievement award and was the 1999–2000 president of the American Sociological Association.

The Truth is still being omitted!

Great book. Again it is sad the Black & White America will read books such as these
without engaging in open discussion. Why? Because whites know deep down inside
that they own or control everything and that isn't even enough. Its been known by many
for years now that in 1860 Blacks owned / controlled 1/2 of 1% of this nations wealth. And
yet here in 2014 Blacks still own / control only 1/2 of 1% of this nations wealth give or take
a few cents. Blacks know its a waste of time at this point to ask / demand reparations
because White America has cleverly manipulated the situation to make poor and middle
class whites "suffer" enough that they would never stand for Black America to get their
fair share. When will White America demand that Black America receive their reparations?
America must cry broke right now and refuse to fix the income rates, refuse to repair her
infrastructure, reform her criminal justice system, with proper taxation reinstate the needed
social programs, etc, etc. The book is good yet white america still refuses to address
reparations and issue a formal gov't apology to the nation and world via the UN.
